KѣR Group is an associate concern of Bengal Friends and Company Ltd - home of the Jahaj Marka Alkatra (coal tar) Est. 1952 and Posner Industries (steel) Est. 1960 – we have been in business for over 50 years.

Our services include navigation of legislative bureaucracy; foreign market research and entry; freight, customs logistics and other essential services within the foreign trade arena.

KѣR is actively engaged in trading, and connecting global buyers and sellers. We have specialized in metals, hydro-carbon chemicals, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, garments, textiles, jute products, construction materials, heavy equipments and Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).



Who we are


 

Golam Ahmed Khan completed his BA,MA in International Affairs and French from the University of Toronto, his associate degree in Information Technology from the DeVry Institute of Technology and International Business diploma from Richland College, Dallas.

Golam's experience in foreign trade developed through engagement in his family businesses (Bengal Friends and Co. Ltd. - founded by his grandfather Golam Haider Khan in 1952) in foods, textiles, hydro-carbon and textile manufacturing plants.

He is actively involved in foreign and local policy affairs. Golam is currently a board member for Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs, Canada's oldest public affairs forum and the birthplace of NATO.  He is well travelled to over 25 cities around the world spanning Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Golam speaks Bangla, French, English, Hindi, Urdu and has working knowledge on Spanish and Italian.

Golam’s work experience as a student includes several government and non-government organizations - such as Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec, Maritz Canada, Citi Financial, University of Toronto, Columbia University, Mobil and Marubeni Petrochemicals, DHL, Georgetown University and the United Nations.

Golam grew up in Dhaka and believes in giving back to his roots. He supports the Golam Haider Khan Govt. College in Faridpur, Bangladesh, instated in the memory of his late grandfather and a free school for street children in Dhaka.


Arik Joseph Rosastik is studying medicine at the Universtiy of Toronto and co-owns a database management company in Burlington.

As a lifetime land owner in Ontario's green belt, Arik has first hand knowledge of trends in agricultural trade and research development. From life experience he has gained knowledge in aquaculture, agronomy, and horticulture.

His involvement in his family businesses in the steel industry allowed him to encounter a wide spectrum of Ontario's steel manufacturing and export markets.

Arik is a committed volunteer within the Burlington community and a self proclaimed activist for Eco friendly industry.
